A favorite event among Board members, The Women’s Clinic Holiday Party is the perfect start to the holiday season with an opportunity to give back and spread cheer.
In 1994, The Woman’s Board began a long-standing relationship with the Women’s Comprehensive HIV Clinic and became one of the first philanthropic groups to fund an HIV related clinic with a pledge of $400,000. The Woman’s Board looks forward to reconnecting with the Clinic every year as the hosts of the Clinic’s annual holiday party in December. The Board members purchase gifts for the patients and their families and provide a delicious catered dinner along with holiday desserts.
The party has a festive atmosphere with Christmas carols sung by talented group of Feinberg School of Medicine students, appropriately called “Doc-Apella,” as well as face painting, juggling and balloon animals for the children. The evening highlight is the arrival of Santa who distributes the gifts to the families and approximately 250 guests.
